043 Jeremy Affeldt:  3-Time World Series Champion, and Champion Man, Dad, Christian, Author & Brew-Master

Welcome to another week Huddle Haven Team!  This episode we host a very special guest; someone right up my baseball alley.  Not only could Jeremy David Affeldt blow you away as a left-handed big-league pitcher on the field; but he also blows you away with what a great man, dad, and Christian he is off the field.

Jeremy was a third-round draft pick by the Kansas City Royals in 1997 MLB draft. He made the team in 2002, and started part of the year for them. In five seasons with the Royals, Affeldt was in the starting rotation and the bullpen.  In 2006, he was traded to the Colorado Rockies at the trade deadline, and was a member of the Rockies 2007 World Series team.  After one season with the Cincinnati Reds, he signed with the San Francisco Giants in 2009, where he was a member of the 2010, 2012, and 2014 World Series championship teams.

For most of us, having World Series Championship rings from San Francisco would be the high point of our career and lives.  For Jeremy, it was the foundation for his true calling, empowering the youth, feeding the hungry, and protecting the vulnerable. It is through his philanthropy that Jeremy would develop a passion for craft beer.

Free Roam Brewing Company is an homage to Jeremy’s spirit animal, the mighty buffalo. A creature built for the storm, the buffalo, symbolizes inner strength, perseverance, and a love of freedom.  As Co-Founder & CEO of Free Roam, Affeldt is determined to strengthen his local community through the love of craft beer.
